I remember the young Slim from 1950.I probably have a recording of every song did. I am as enamored today as I was in the early fifties.I think he deserves much more recognition than what the dear old U.S. ever gave him. Your fans love you, slim. Iwish you all the best.

I was looking in vain for "Five Miles Down the Road"
lyrics and chords. Can't find it anywhere. I went to see Slim in the Rialto theatre in the 50's. He was a great guy, hung around in the lobby bsing with everyone.

For me, Slim Whitman is the greatest country singer that ever existed!!! I also like Don Williams, Johnny Cash, Emmylou Harris, Billy Walker, Hank Williams and Willie Nelson, but Slim is the best of them all! His voice sounds marvellous, if I do say so, like a mocking bird or a nightingale. I'm sorry that I'm living in Romania and I couldn't go to one of his concerts, but I'm listening day by day his music. I wish you all the best and God bless you, Mr Whitman!
